Political Research Exchange (PRX) is a Gold Open Access journal from the European Consortium for Political Research. It is dedicated to publishing innovative, high-quality research across the full breadth of political science and across all geographical areas.
The journal welcomes theoretically informed and empirically rigorous contributions from all subfields, including comparative politics, international relations, political behaviour, political theory, public policy, and political economy. PRX is particularly committed to work that advances conceptual innovation, develops new data or methods, or bridges subfield and disciplinary boundaries.
It has a strong interest in research that enhances transparency and cumulative knowledge. The journal encourages the submission of work that integrates data, code, and supplementary materials, and supports diverse research designs, including quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-method approaches.
While rooted in the ECPR scholarly community, PRX is global in its scope. It publishes research on political phenomena from all regions of the world and seeks to reflect the diversity of perspectives, cases, and methodological traditions within the discipline.
In addition to regular articles, PRX provides a venue for thematic special collections that bring together contributions around shared research agendas, fostering dialogue and advancing emerging debates across political science.
