Promoting innovative thinking and generating inspiring conversations, our General Conference is a prestigious global stage that nurtures the development of research across all sub-disciplines of political science.
As a leading industry event, our General Conference continues to support the advancement of political science across Europe.
Having brought together nearly 2,000 members of the political science community in Dublin and online for our 2024 General Conference, we are thrilled to be heading to the prestigious Aristotle University of Thessaloniki for the 2025 event.
With its expansive reach and inclusive approach, our General Conference provides an engaging platform that transcends regional and national boundaries. It offers scholars an opportunity to converge, showcase research to peers, connect with like-minded researchers, and benefit from fruitful discussions and intense debates.
Covering all corners of political science
Exploring pressing matters across the discipline
Curated activities that foster meaningful connections
We invite cutting-edge Section proposals covering all areas of political science, including comparative politics, public policy and public administration, political theory, international relations, and European studies.
Each Section should have one Chair and one Co-Chair. Section Chair must be affiliated with an ECPR Full Member institution.
Individuals may perform the function of Section Chair and Panel Chair only once.
Please read our guidelines and complete the proposal form here by midnight UK time on Wednesday 6 November. Proposals will be evaluated based on the quality of the proposal, experience and competence of Section Chairs, and participation potential.
You will hear about the outcome of your proposal in late November 2024.
