Building: Law Building, Floor: 1, Room: 2
Thursday 09:30 - 10:15 EEST (28/08/2025)
Instructor: Kristin Anabel Eggeling No pre-registration required – just drop in on the day. This is a taster session for a bigger course on the universal, yet still little discussed question in academic work of how and why we write up our research. The session introduces the outlines of the course in general, and considers two specific strategies for tackling one of the thorniest research moments: trying to find the “bigger story” in our data. You will learn about some concepts and ideas about how to start and continue writing, and will be introduced to concrete thining and writing exercises. This session, and course as a whole, may be particularly useful for researchers who collect or generate their own data, often ones working with mixed, qualitative, or interpretive methodologies. The instructor will open with a 25-minute presentation, followed by a 20-minute Q&A session.
