Which Workshops will run at the Pisa Joint Sessions?
The list of Workshops that are running in Pisa can be found in the Academic Programme.
Is there a limit to the number of Papers I can propose?
Technically no. Although please remember that if more than one Paper is approved you will have to choose which Workshop to take part and turn down the place offered in the other Workshop.
How do I register to attend the Joint Sessions?
Once your Paper has been approved you will be able to register. There will be a link to Event Registration under your My Events, Joint Sessions Pisa (2016) within your MyECPR account.
How much are the registration fees?
There is a fee for all those attending the Joint Sessions, other than the Workshop Directors and those participants from the host institutions who will be exempt, although these people will still have to register.

Workshop Directors have to register but will be exempt from paying the event fee. Those from the host institution will also have to register but will also be exempt from paying the fee.
*Students must provide a copy of their student id card and/or letter from their Head of Department and upload online where notified upon registration. If you fail to do so by the deadline you will be invoiced for the full conference fee and your details will not be included in the printed programme.
You will get an automatic email confirming your registration.
When is the deadline for registration?
You must have registered for the Joint Sessions by 31 January 2016 at the latest.
Is there a waiting list for Workshops that are currently at full capacity?
This will be at the discretion of the Workshop Directors and may be possible if there have been Papers approved whose authors don't take up the place or there are withdrawals.
When and how will I be able to read the other Papers in my Workshop?
Papers should be uploaded to the website and/or circulated to other members of the Workshop by Friday 1 April 2016 (tbc).
I have been accepted into a Workshop, but I would like to change Workshops. What should I do?
It will be possible to change Workshops if there is space available in your revised Workshop selection and the Workshop Directors are in agreement, if it was the case that your Paper had been proposed and initially approved for that Workshop.
Will I automatically receive a Certificate of Attendance?
No, you won't automatically receive a Certificate of Attendance. Please email Marcia Taylor for Joint Sessions (jointsessions@ecpr.eu) upon your return from the conference, who will be happy to email you a certificate.
Are there any prizes associated to the Joint Sessions of Workshops?
Yes, the Rulolf Wildenmann Prize is associated with the best Paper presented at the Joint Sessions, for a colleague from an ECPR Full-Member institution, before receiving or within five years of receiving their PhD.
When should I arrive at the Pisa Joint Sessions and when do the Workshops finish?
Registration will take place in the Church of Sant'Anna, Via Giosuè, from 14:00 until 18:00 on Sunday 24 April. This will be followed by a welcome drinks reception (TBC) at a location to be confirmed. Registration will continue on Monday 25 April from 08:00 until 17:30. Workshops are scheduled to finish at 17:00 on Thursday 28 April. Your Workshop Director should have a schedule for your Workshop. You should be in attendance for the duration of the Joint Sessions.
What AV facilities will be available for my presentation?
All Workshop rooms should be equipped with PowerPoint. You should ensure you bring a copy of your presentation with you on a memory stick, and a couple of hard copies.
How long will I have to present my Paper?
How long you have to present your Paper will depend on the number of participants in the Workshop. A schedule for your Workshop should be sent to you by the Directors.
Where will the Pisa Joint Sessions take place exactly?
The Pisa Joint Sessions will be hosted by three Pisa institutions, Scuola Normale Superiore, Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna and the University of Pisa. The exact locations of the various events will be on the Schedule of Activities.
How will the Pisa Joint Sessions participants be accommodated?
Workshop Directors and participants are asked to organise accommodation for themselves. Further information on accommodation will be available asap.

Yes, wireless internet will be available free of charge during the Joint Sessions. Information on this will be available upon registration.
If I need a visa in order to attend the Joint Sessions, who do I contact to arrange that?
Please email jointsessions@ecpr.eu for assistance with your visa. Please note invitation letters for visas can only be sent once your registration fee has been paid.

Are there any childcare facilities offered by the ECPR?
No, unfortunately the ECPR does not provide childcare for any of its events.
