Abstract

The recent intensification of migration in the EU, along with the so-called "refugee crisis", have put pressure to both the EU and the individual Member States to respond in the increasing demands for migration management. This panel sets to explore the different responses in migration policy-making from a multilevel perspective. In particular, this panel will examine the different national and supranational actors involved in migration governance and how they interact to create a new framework towards the management of borders, asylum policies, and humanitarian aid.
