Abstract

This panel focuses on asylum policies as well as on selected accommodation policies for refugees and asylum seekers from an actor-centred perspective. In particular, the panel sheds light on access to health care and other welfare policies for refugees, asylum seekers and undocumented persons and challenges established discourses of ‘deservingness’. By evaluating single national approaches and comparing different countries‘ strategies the panel adds a fresh perspective to migration and asylum scholarship.
