Abstract

Political theory and political science are often interested in similar phenomena, however, while political theory is normative, political science is descriptive and causal. This raises the question, of how similar or different are the methodological commitments of political theory and political science. The goal of this panel is to examine various approaches to the similarities and differences between the methods of political science and those of political theory.
