Abstract

Neoliberal regimes offer an increased privatisation of social risk. In this situation, ethics of care, solidarity and 'making kin' in the words of Donna Haraway, offer chances to produce a different politics - that involves not only global cooperation and solidarity but local, situated meanings of care. In line with equality and inclusion interventions, we welcome papers in this panel, that offer accounts of such networks of care, affect and connectivity to counter neoliberal politics of increasing private profit-based initiatives and produce highly responsibilized and individualised subjects.
