Papers within this panel should explore new approaches to account for voting behavior (turnout and party choice) in German federal elections. Preference will be given to contributions that compare over time since German unification and/or with other democracies. Submissions that investigate alternatives to or modifications of the classical Ann-Arbor-Model are particularly encouraged. This could include, e.g., a focus on political communication, campaign effects, interpersonal networks, personality traits etc.
