Policy agenda-setting theory has traditionally been focused on explaining policy outcomes. However, within recent years, the policy agenda-setting perspective has increasingly been used to explore the dynamics of political systems. The underlying idea is that allocation of attention to different policy-issues like health, the environment, defense or the economy is a core process in any political system. We can therefore learn a lot about political systems by exploring such agenda-setting dynamics. The panel welcomes papers on all aspects of political systems. This could for instance be papers on agenda-setting dynamics in federal countries, on the role of courts in agenda-setting or on agenda-setting dynamics within parliaments
