Abstract

Social networks are systems of interconnected individuals, often characterized by large numbers of visible nodes (vertices) connected by edges or links, often carrying high levels of interaction. Social network analysis is the formulation of mathematical models of these interactions. It represents individuals in the network as a matrix of nodes. This panel will focus on modern applications of social network analysis with papers that emphasize applications in political science.
