This panel welcomes papers that test theories of legislative politics using empirics from the European Union. Empirically, it is open to contributions to the study of politics in the Council or in the European Parliament, but particularly welcomes contributions that investigate the relationship between the institutions. Theoretically, it is open to both formal and non-formal contributions, but it is an advantage if the theory relates to general theories of legislative politics rather than a EU-specific approach. The panel has a preference for quantitative methods, in particular contributions that provides innovate approaches to test theories of legislative politics in the EU.
