Abstract

This panel examines the relationship between religious affiliation, levels of religiosity, and political attitudes and behavior. It explores how beliefs, practices, and religious identities shape political preferences, value orientations, and patterns of participation across different contexts. Drawing on comparative and empirical research, the panel highlights variation across societies and discusses the broader implications for political polarization, representation, and democratic processes.
