Abstract

This panel interrogates how citizenship is governed through educational channels at local, national and supranational levels. Bringing together papers on policy frameworks, teacher education, and classroom practices, it examines how democratic norms and political competencies are operationalised, evaluated, and priorities across educational settings - often against the backdrop of democratic decline.
