Abstract

This panel conceptualizes resistance as a sustained democratic practice rather than a momentary act. The papers explore how citizens and organizations maintain agency under democratic pressure, examining civil society strategies, religious conviction, and institutional constraint. Together, they reveal how moral commitment, organizational adaptation, and identity-based autonomy enable democratic resistance even in shrinking civic spaces.
