Europeanisation studies classically tackle the adaptation of EU member states' domestic politics, polities, and policies to the EU level. However, recent strands of Europeanisation literature increasingly shed light upon the uploading of member states' norms, structures and practices to the EU level. What is more, analyses of the adjustment of one member state's institutions to those of another, are on the rise. Keeping this in mind, panel follows the traditional top-down approach and informs the concept with valuable empirical evidence. Moreover, this panel widens the concepts geographical scope and addresses the EU's exemplary role on continents other than Europe. Lastly, papers aim at furthering the theoretical debate under the umbrella of the concept.
