Abstract

This panel will explore the current developments in youth citizenship in the UK. It will look at different pathways that can encourage youth citizenship, such as educational policies or institutional changes such as lowering the voting age to 16. It will also look at current patterns of how youth citizenship is expressed; what opportunities are there? In what ways young people are currently expressing citizenship?
