Today, the concept and notion of global governance embraced many aspect of international, transnational and cyber-governance issues and thus has open up a new analytical framework to assess and evaluate recent developments. Panelist on this panel will discuss issues of cyber-governance, the role of global citizens in participating in international and trans-border decision making processes. Common legal and ethical norms and standards often guide these citizen driven initiatives. Thus the panel will also deal with the ever emerging role of G20 and citizens protests alongside traditional international bodies and organizations such as the UN. Even so many UN or regional inter-governmental organizations as well as international NGOs or non-state actors have been seen as the founders of the concept of global governance, they have given way to new forms of global interaction and decision making on various fora may they be initiated by governments or citizens which is often discussed under the label of multi-stakeholder approach.
