The financial and economic crisis that became manifest after 2007 poses some urgent questions to political science: how much room do governments claim for economic policies, how does the crisis affect the popularity of old and new parties, and of the incumbents, and which differences do we observe between various political systems? This panel addresses these questions in both single-country studies and comparative analyses in a variety of countries over the last decade
