Abstract

Although Kant rarely talks specifically about human rights, commentators have more recently examined the extent to which the Kantia philosophical framework can support an adequate account of human rights. Especially in light of discussions on the pluralism of the notion of human rights, Kant's legal philosophy has been regarded as a possibe source of justification for the normativity of the notion of human rights. Papers in this panel will examine these questions, but also, more generally, questions concerning Kant's account of rights and a of a rightful condition.
