Abstract

Papers in this panel question some fundamental assumptions of Kant and contemporary Kantian theorists. Some papers address problems in contemporary Kantian theories (for instance, Rawls's account of justice in particular or specific aspects thereof, such as his account of civil disobedience or the normative ground of pluralism and diversity). The other papers focus critically on aspects of Kant's moral philosophy (for instance, its normative approach or his statist assumption)
