Abstract

What is the role of multilateral organisations in addressing serious violations of human rights and pushing for transitional justice today? This panel will examine a variety of case studies to analyse the interactions between multilateral organisations (e.g. the European Parliament or the United Nations Human Rights Council) and various actors (e.g. national governments, negotiation delegations, human rights activists and lobby groups) and the implications for the promotion of human rights and transitional justice.
