Abstract

Social Movements are expression of the disatisfied people towards the situation in their environment. There are many forms of social movements, varying from non-violent peacefull protests to very high violent actions. I will discuss several different violent actions which erupt in various countries. The paper aims to explain the reason why the people tend to behave violently as soon as they realize that violence are the only way to force the authority to response their demands. I will present the data of eruptions that caused policy change, regime change, and democratization.
