Increase of Impact of Research Based Knowledge (RBK) in Front of Interest Based Knowledge (IBK): Participation-Based Policy Decision-Making Model and Supportive Tools
Participation in policy making processes as a guiding instrument to implement a democratic value has many advantages from the perspective of better governance. However it raises not less challenging tasks for operationalization of different approaches on the practical perspectives. Participation in policymaking refers to the construct that highlights knowledge that could come from different sources and can be unavoidably necessary for better decision.
The goal of this paper is to discuss the available policy decision tools and highlight their superposition defining the proper place of their application inside the frame of participatory policy making model (PPMM) while interest based knowledge and research based knowledge contribute to transparent, open and rational policy decision making. The, the paper focus will be on: decision support tools: how final decision is chosen (decision support tools helping to select an particular alternative (multicriteria based methods; regression; linear programming; decision trees; game theory)
