The paper explores and theorizes the concept of transnational identities and transnational intellectuals within the field of political communication between Russia - Europe, and Russia - countries of the Northeast Asia (China, South Korea and Japan). We look at this as on attempt to distinguish and describe a type of Russian transnational intellectual whose activity can be a prof of a successful peace building and mitigation of different historical and political images of negative “otherness”. The paper is based on the qualitative research methods survey and summarizes results of case studies, interviews and analysis of contemporary Russian political and philosophical discourse.
