Anti-elite opinions and strong ideas about national homogeneity, together also known as 'populism', seem to have played a big role in the Dutch national elections of 2017. In this paper we will explore inter-individual differences in populism in relation to issue voting. We will test the intra-individual stability of populism, using panel data, and the changing relationship of (aspects of) populism with issue positions to explore the politicization of populism.
