Abstract

The dual identity of Ukrainians in the post-Soviet period was one of the reasons for the crisis in the legitimacy of power. Distrust of the state on the part of the Ukrainian society determined the low efficiency of its institutions both at the stage of policy formation and implementation. The war creates conditions for the finalization of the formation of a political nation in Ukraine. The solution to identity problems and the consolidation of Ukrainians create conditions for the localization of the crisis of the legitimacy of power in Ukraine.
