Changing Paradigms of Policymaking: Towards Environmental/Sustainability Citizenship in the European Union?

In this presentation, I outline the interim results of my PhD dissertation research, which aims to identify and characterise the main episodes of policy development in the European Union over the last 20 years concerning the promotion of sustainable consumption within the broader context of 'resource and waste management'. The goal of this research is to contribute to policy-oriented learning and facilitate the development of a comprehensive 'Sustainability Citizenship Framework' for EU policymakers.
