The Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf is one of the younger universities in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia - founded in 1965. Since 1988, the university has borne the name of the city's great son. Today, around 35,000 students find the best conditions for academic life on the modern campus. As a campus university with short distances, all of our buildings, including the university hospital and specialist libraries, are centrally accessible. In addition, the state capital Düsseldorf offers an attractive environment with a recognized high quality of life.

The Helmut-Schmidt-Universität/Universität der Bundeswehr Hamburg, located in Hamburg, Germany, is a German military research university. The university was founded in 1973 at the initiative of the then-Federal Minister of Defence, Helmut Schmidt. Teaching first started in the Autumn of 1973.

The Hertie School is a private university based in Berlin, Germany, accredited by the state and the German Science Council. The Institute of Social Sciences at Humboldt University Berlin is an interdisciplinary research and teaching institute comprised of faculty and staff in the fields of political science and sociology. Our research and teaching profile in political science includes: International and Comparative Politics; German Politics and Administration in International Perspective; Political Philosophy and Political Theory; Methodology. We offer BA, MA and PHD degree programs.

IE School of Global and Public Affairs belongs to IE University, whose campuses are located in Madrid and Segovia, Spain. IEGPA offers multiple programs in both English and Spanish, which are compliant with the terms of the European Higher Education Area Bologna Accord.

The Department of Political Science at Indiana University Bloomington is one of the oldest in the country — and one of the best. Our faculty analyse problems of vital interest to the nation and world. Their expertise is at your disposal, and we invite inquiries from students, parents, alumni and friends, the citizens of Indiana, and scholars around the world. We teach courses on a variety of topics in American politics, comparative politics, international relations, political theory, and public policy. Our staff provides information, assistance in planning academic programs, and direction to the many services available to students on campus. We also coordinate internships, service learning, and 'on the job' learning experiences. Training the next generation of political scientists is part of our mission, too, and we offer graduate degrees in political science, as well as a joint PhD. with Indiana University’s School of Public and Environmental Affairs. As part of their training our graduate students teach courses in their specialties, under the supervision of experienced faculty members.

The Institut Barcelona d’Estudis Internacionals is a graduate teaching and research institution created in 2004 by five public universities in the Barcelona area (the University of Barcelona, the Autonomous University of Barcelona, Pompeu Fabra University, the Open University of Catalonia and The Politechnical University of Catalonia). Supported by different public institutions, its aim is to promote advanced research and teaching in international relations, international political economy, comparative politics and related areas.

The IHS is a private non-profit organization. It was founded in 1963 by two prominent Austrians living in exile, the sociologist Paul F. Lazarsfeld and the economist Oskar Morgenstern, with the financial help of the Ford Foundation, the Austrian Federal Ministry of Education, and the City of Vienna. At present nearly 40 % of the Institute's budget is accounted for by commissioned research. The remaining funding is provided by subsidies from the Federal Ministry of Education and Science, the Austrian National Bank, the City of Vienna and other institutions. The Institute for Advanced Studies is divided into three departments of scientific research and teaching: Economics & Finance, Political Science, and Sociology. The institute counts approximately 60 scientific employees and 26 administrative employees. About 40 students are presently participating in the postgraduate course programs.

The Institute for Social Research is an independent research institute in Oslo. The Institute for Social Research is organised as a foundation and has, since its establishment in 1950, played a vital role in the development of Norwegian social research. The institute has almost 60 permanent employees and its goal is to be a leading research community in the areas of society, politics and working life. Our research is divided into seven main topics: Working life, media and the public sphere, gender equality, migration and integration, civil society, elections and democracy and welfare. The Institute for Social Research seeks to create a broad research environment without sharp distinctions between basic and applied research. The research shall be independent, innovative, socially relevant and of a high academic standard. We place emphasis on our research being published in peer-reviewed publications and forums. At the Institute for Social Research, we are proud that our research makes a difference, and that our results are emphasised in policy formulation and public debate. We work actively to disseminate our findings and analyses to decision-makers and the general public through seminars, op-ed articles and publications in the form of reports, journals and books.

In August 1969, Dr. Shih-Chieh Wang, the late President of Academia Sinica, realizing the importance of American Cultural Studies, proposed the establishment of a center for American Studies in the Republic of China with the help of the Sino-American Cooperation Committee on Humanities and Social Sciences. As a result, the Center for American Studies was founded on March 12, 1972. In July 1974, the Center was officially incorporated as the Institute of American Culture Studies, Academia Sinica. In response to the increasing importance of European Studies in recent years, the name of the Institute was changed to the Institute of European and American Studies (IEAS) on August 3, 1991. Reflecting its newly expanded mandate, the Institute strived to further European Studies and to recruit competent scholars in the fields of European Studies. The current director is Professor Norman Y. Teng.

The Institute of International Politics and Economics (IIPE) was founded in 1947 in Belgrade and is therefore the oldest state scientific institute in the field of international relations in Europe. IIPE was founded in 1947 as a small group of researchers aimed at laying the foundations of Yugoslav International Relations. The Institute has gradually turned into the largest research organisation of this kind in former Yugoslavia, and today′s Serbia, and has had the long standing international reputation as well. To the present day, IIPE carries out a wide variety of research encouraging development of new and inovative analysis of world politics.
