The Department of Political Science at JGU Mainz is highly regarded for its research contributions in areas such as Political Sociology, Comparative Politics, International Relations, Political Theory, and Public Policy. Faculty members are dedicated to exploring important global and domestic issues, and their work adds valuable perspectives to academic and policy debates. The department also places a strong emphasis on Political Economy and Empirical Political Science, applying rigorous research methods to better understand political behavior, institutions, and the economic dynamics that influence policy outcomes.
