Thanks to Ioannis Papadopoulos for his work on the EJPR

Ioannis PapodopoulosThe ECPR would like to extend its thanks and gratitude to Ioannis Papadopoulos (University of Lausanne) who has now completed his term as co-Editor of the European Journal of Political Research (EJPR).

Since joining the journal in 2012 Ioannis has worked closely with fellow editors Claudio Radaelli (until August 2015) and then Cas Mudde to keep the ECPR’s flagship journal on its course as one of the leading political science journals. More than this though, and building on the work of previous editors, Ioannis’ term has seen the journal’s Impact Factor and correlating place in the SSCI climb from 1.382 and a ranking of 34th in 2012, to 2.891 and a ranking of 13th in 2016 (and a high of 7th place in 2014).

Alongside citations and readership, submissions have also grown steadily under Ioannis’ editorship, which has required increasing commitments of time from the whole editorial team (including Editorial Manager, Olive Fritsch) – so for this alone, enormous thanks to all are needed.

In addition to his work on the EJPR, Ioannis also played a lead role in shaping the ECPR’s statement on data access and research transparency in collaboration with other editors and the ECPR's Publications Subcommittee.

Ioannis’ replacement will be announced in early September.
