The Standing Group on Elites and Political Leadership is honored to announce the first recipient of the Prize for the Best Paper presented during the General Conference: Hannah Oorts (Vrije Universiteit Brussel and the University of Warwick) for her paper Party leaders’ representation of self(ie): the new face of political leadership on Instagram.
The Prize Jury highlighted that Hannah’s paper's theoretical rigor and methodological originality stand out. Her article provides new and inspiring insights into party leaders' mediums to connect with the voters, namely through photos posted on the leaders’ personal Instagram accounts. We congratulate Hannah and wish her great success in her future work!
