Registration is required but you'll only need to register once for the entire series. You’ll need a My ECPR account to register.

About the Standing Group

The Standing Group on Political Culture aims to connect scholars and research fellows from European and international research areas who have previously developed and are interested in further developing an interdisciplinary approach to political culture issues. These include cultural, social and political phenomena from collective perceptions and actions to public opinion, political attitudes and political ideologies.

The interdisciplinary approach aims to address both theoretical and methodological domains. One major interdisciplinary dimension involves adopting research methodologies rooted in the sciences and technologies of the artificial. These employ artificial life, artificial agents, artificial intelligence, machine learning, big data, and web-based technologies to test existing theories and/or develop new theories in political culture theory and methodology research.

Another significant interdisciplinary dimension concerns the employment of social simulation and artificial societies in the study of political culture of democratic participation, policy and governance, elite, political leadership and polity operation, and international relations.
