How to Participate

Prep your Itinerary

To be able to join the Conference, make sure to add everything you plan to attend to your Itinerary. For security reasons, links are individual for each session.

Log in to our Virtual Conference Website
Go to Plan Your Event, search for the Panels and activities you'd like to attend and click Add to Itinerary.
Your itinerary is visible under My Itinerary.
All times are British Summer Time (BST).

Fine-tune your Zoom skills

The Conference will run on the Zoom platform. Before joining, familiarise yourself with any features you may need to use – mute/unmute microphone, stop/start video, share screen, naming/renaming yourself, chat and the raise hand feature.

Time for Presentation

Each Panel Session runs for 1 hour 45 minutes.
If a Panel has 3 Presentations: 15 minutes per presentation
If a Panel has 4 Presentations: 12 minutes per presentations
This will allow enough time for interaction, questions and answers following the presentations.

Get ready

Review this brief checklist before you tune in:

Consider your environment

Use cable internet connection or position yourself close to the router
Make sure you are in a well-lit area
Choose a quiet location and a neutral background

Check video and audio

Put your camera at face level
Position yourself so that most of the light is coming from in front of you
Consider using a headset

Remember some ground rules

Join on time
Make sure your name is clearly indicated in Zoom. Use Rename function to adjust
Keep your camera on
Be mindful of your camera and try to avoid being distracted by other tasks
Mute yourself when not speaking

Use 'raise hand' or chat features in Zoom to ask a question
