We've created this handy guide to help you at every step of your Winter School experience – from getting started with Canvas to joining live sessions, to making the most of your course.

Log in to Canvas early using the credentials sent to you by our Events Team, and familiarise yourself with the learning environment and your course.

Check if any preparatory work has been allocated to your course in Canvas, such as pre-course readings, recordings and assignments. Any pre-course work must be completed before the start of your course.
For queries regarding content hosted on platforms outside of Canvas, please contact your Instructor. Simply visit the Inbox section in Canvas (far left on the menu bar) to access the messaging facility.
Make sure you have familiarised yourself with class times; these are indicated in your course outline. All class times are in Central European Time (CET).
Except for the Welcome Reception as specified, all courses will be taking place at the Faculty of Law – KU Leuven (De Valk 3), Tiensestraat 41, 3000 Leuven, Belgium.

To help you and your colleagues feel as safe and comfortable as possible, we've put together this page containing essential health and safety guidelines, as well as some important practical information.
You deserve a positive event experience. Please take a few moments to read our Code of Conduct which outlines our expectations regarding the conduct of participants at all our events.
There will be no equipment provided during your course; you will be expected to bring your own device to the class with an EU plug adaptor.
Please note, ECPR is not responsible for participants' belongings.
You can only download your Certificate of Attendance the day after completing your course, as long as your badge has been scanned at the registration desk and you attend your course every day.
Please collect your badge at the Registration Desk in De Valk 3:

The room allocation for your course is indicated under 'Building' in the Schedule.
All plenary events, including the Welcome Reception and our House Series Lunchtime Debate, have been added to your Itinerary.

If you have attended 100% of live sessions and completed pre-course assignments, you can download your Certificate of Attendance via My ECPR after you have completed your course in four simple steps:
If you had attended more than one course in the event, you can download a separate certificate for each course.
If you have attended 100% of live sessions and engaged in all class activities/assignments, you will automatically receive 3 ECTS credits.
If you would like to receive 4 ECTS credits, please let your Instructor know on the first day of your course. All ECTS Credit Certificates will be sent by Friday 14 April 2023.
Please note that only those receiving 4 credits will receive a grade on the certificate. 3 credits will not include a grade.
Make the most of the course materials and pre-recorded lectures over the next few weeks. You will have access to your course in Canvas until Friday 31 March 2023.
Photographers will be taking pictures at various locations on campus during this event.
The photographs will be used by ECPR to promote its activities and may be published on the ECPR website, used in digital and email marketing, on social media, and in other promotional materials.
If you do not wish to appear in such photographs, please make yourself known to the photographer, a member of ECPR staff, or a student in an ECPR T-shirt.
