Abstract

Political theorists have been repeatedly concerned with the relationship between truth, on the one hand, and power, deliberation, and conflict, on the other. Today, it is increasingly necessary to consider as well role of forms of untruth such as lies, falsehoods, and errors in politics. This panel examines both issues through a variety of theoretical perspectives.
