Abstract

The global energy transition is taking place against the background of profound changes in the international political economy. At the same time, the global energy transition has the potential to trigger broader changes in politics and economics. This panel explores how a shifting international political economy is playing out in the energy sector. It addresses the evolving role of the state in climate and energy policy as well as implications in the world of finance.
