Abstract

This panel addresses research questions regarding the attitudes of citizens and voters towards political institutions, political parties and participation during the Covid-19 pandemic in Europe. How does the pandemic affect the perception of political institutions? How do party cues influence public assessment of government policies? How political interest, trust, political beliefs and voting preference have been transformed by the Covid-19 experience? Case-studies as well as comparative analysis are welcome.
