Teaching the policy process is among the core activities of policy-related curricula, providing important insights of the policy context as well as a link to political science. For the policy process research community, it is important to share experiences in the policy community, disseminate innovations, and form common understanding on how to teach the policy process. The roundtable will address teaching the methodology in the policy process courses: 1) Chris Weible (University of Colorado Denver) on research methods related to frameworks codified in the policy process Methods of the Policy Process (with Sam Workman, Routledge, 2022) a companion to the policy process research main reference Theories of the Policy Process (Weible & Sabatier 2017); 2) Philippe Zittoun (LAET-ENTPE, University of Lyon) on Handbook of Teaching Public Policy (St Denny, E. F., & Zittoun, P. (Eds.) Edward Elgar, 2022) and teaching methodology in policy process courses from the constructivist perspective; These perspectives will be accompanied by practitioner's insights of an academician (Vilém Novotný - Charles University) and a student (Sofie Klingner - TU Braunschweig). All presentations open the floor for general discussion of this important issue.
