Abstract

The behaviour of opposition parties in parliament and their relations with the governing parties have been the object of increasing scholarly interest in recent years. In this panel, we bring together papers that investigate the government-opposition dynamics from various perspectives. These include analyses of parliamentary behaviour manifested in questions, speeches, and votes, as well as investigations into the extra-legislative consequences of opposition behaviour, such as satisfaction with democracy and democratic decline.
