Gender Perspectives in Latin American Politics: Dialogues in Portuguese and Spanish

Abstract

This panel offers an analysis of gender dynamics in Latin American politics, fostering essential dialogues in the two official languages of the region: Portuguese and Spanish. Within a diversity of contributions and methodological approaches, in this panel we will discuss examining issues that permeate political participation, gender equality, and the challenges faced by women in the political arena in different countries of Latin America. The novelty of this panel is that it will be conducted in Spanish and Portuguese, facilitating a plural and diverse discussion with the participation of regional voices and specialists.
