Virtual icon Leveraging the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning in Political Science

Abstract

Speaker: Dr Agnes Simon, Comenius University Bratislava Political Science teachers, with their methodological training and subjects offering rich opportunities for innovative teaching, are uniquely positioned to contribute to the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL). This webinar will begin by reviewing the key characteristics of SoTL studies and will then highlight the benefits of SoTL for career development, including ways to integrate SoTL with one’s own research and teaching. Taking a practical approach, we will also discuss how to start a SoTL project and what is needed for successful SoTL studies. Attendees are encouraged to actively participate by asking questions and sharing examples from their own practice.
