Abstract

As the local governance has progressed, local politics and decision making at the local level has become increasingly more complicated. Decision-making at the local level is now the responsibility of complex networks of public and private partners. This transfer from government to governance has brought on emphasis on collaboration and networks in core decision making at the local level. At the same time, we witness democratic backsliding and increased complexity of party politics at the local level.
