Abstract

This panel brings together contributions that explore key issues at the intersection of international political theory, citizenship, and migration. How do global hierarchies shape the rights and status of migrants? In what ways do structures of oppression manifest in international politics, and how can political theory address these challenges? The panel also considers the methodological difficulties inherent in theorizing global justice, inclusion, and exclusion. By engaging with diverse perspectives—from normative theory to critical approaches—this panel seeks to advance our understanding of citizenship and migration in an era of shifting global orders and contested political legitimacy.
