Abstract

This panel brings into conversation diverse examinations of gender justice, LGBTQ+ inclusion, and human rights in contexts of crises, transition and in times of peace. Drawing on a combination of conceptual advances and empirical analysis from across Latin America, Sub-Saharan Africa and Türkiye these papers individually and collectively draw attention to the practices, absences and need for inclusion in human rights and transitional justice around the world. Advancing the need for greater scholarly attention to identifying and understanding intersectional inclusion in the arenas of human rights and transitional justice these papers invite the recalibration of transitional justice and explore the tools needed to achieve inclusivity.
