Politics across Levels of Governance

Abstract

Corresponding to this sections specifically Europeanisation-centred panel, this panel aims at responding to the wider perspective of politics extending across different levels of governance. Thereby it transcends the EU- and national level puzzle and presents topically and empirically wide-ranging analyses of actors' coordination and cooperation across multiple levels of action. Examples of actors are found in governments, parliaments or agencies. The case studies focus, for instance, on EU Cohesion Policy or the quest for the building blocks of a European identity. Methodologically, this panel attracts single case studies, as well as papers following a comparative approach, answering the question in which ways actors pursue their interests within a multilevel environment.
