We welcome contributions that investigate aspects of the politics of the European Union where inter-institutional relations play a central role, from legislative procedures, budgetary functions, selection and appointment, to control and oversight. What are the sources of inter-institutional conflict and convergence? To which constituencies are EU institutions most responsive, and how does this affect inter-institutional relations? What are the sources of inter-institutional power? Who gets what and why? How similarly or differently do they react to policy challenges, such as the recent economic crisis? How have the recent reforms of the Treaty of Lisbon changed inter-institutional relations? Both purely theoretical and theoretically-driven empirical analyses are welcome, regardless of the strand of institutional analysis or methods of inquiry employed. We also encourage work that draws inferences from and offers insights into the broader literature on comparative politics or international relations.
