Abstract

This panel includes papers which deal with the way in which Europe as a topic, or as successive European crises (Eurozone crisis, Refugee crisis) are influencing voting behaviour across European democracies. Considered more broadly, this panel seeks also seeks papers on the consequences of the EU politicisation for political attitudes. As a result, papers which deal more with the EU politicisation side of the equation, and how that may influence attitudes, are as discussed as those who actually focus on the way in which "Europe" has entered the domestic vote calculus.
