IIt adds to the author’s static resourcist account of power dynamic elements that integrate luck and systematic luck into the account. Static accounts, whilst enabling comparative static analysis do not take into account the contingencies of strategic interactions including perceptions, misperceptions and chance. Our attitude towards luck in the analysis of any social situation will determine how much responsibility we think agents bear; the degree to which we consider them free; and the degree to which we see outcomes as structurally and predictively determined.
