Differentiated integration as discursive phenomenon

Constructivism
Differentiation
Euroscepticism

Abstract

The aim of the paper is to present a politicization of discussion around differentiated integration. This discussion is increasingly shaped in relation to the division between political supporters of integration and their opponents, and proposed solutions of differentiated integration is often treated as a Eurosceptic postulate that wants to limit the possibilities of the further development of European integration. In this way, the politicization of discussions about differentiated integration makes it difficult to design the most flexible and pragmatic solutions for the EU and individual countries at a given moment, and could discredit such institutional considerations.
